Liberty League International Class Action Complaint Filed
by Administrator on Aug.26, 2008, under Liberty League International, Rachel Oliver, Zenaida Lorenzo
Here is an additional post about Liberty League International and the Class action lawsuit filed against them. I realize one member has already made a valuable post on this subject but I just wanted to add a post from the admin and end it with some personal thoughts.
On July 25 2008, A class action complaint was filed against Liberty League International in the United Stated District Court in California. The plaintiffs are listed as Liberty League International LLC, and Arizona Corporation, Beyond Freedom Publishing LLC, an Arizona Corporation, Brent Payne and Julie Payne, husband and wife; Shane Krider and Michelle Krider, husband and wife; Liberty League Holdings LLC, and Arizona Corporation, formerly known as Big Ass Britches Holdings LLC, an Arizona Corporation.
This action is being brought forth on the claims of unlawful and unethical scheme to unlawfully and wrongfully solicit market and sell “personal development” products and seminars to investors in California, throughout the United States and Canada. The defendants sales practices alleged violate the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. I hope that in some way this is a beginning to extended help to the people of Australia as well. I am being introduced all the time to more and more people that have been victims as well.
The class action complaint can be seen in its entirety here. I will post updates as they are available. I was a little disappointed to not see some other names and conjoined business named but I know this is only a start of what is to come.

I too was scammed by Liberty League. I tried to recover $13K from the ROME trip that I never went too. I begged for my money back even spoke to Brent Payne. Basically he told me in so many words, that he couldn’t do anything about it.
I was involved for exactly 3 months, and new that I wanted out… I did everything that I could, and even spoke to several attorneys about the situation. No one seems to want to get involved. How can I add my name to this lawsuit? I lost $13K PLUS, all the money that my advisor informed me that I needed to spend to become successful. Another 5K down the drain…
Any help would be very much appreciated!!

I spoke with an attorney working on the case and was told that if you live in the state of California, there is still hope for retrieving your money via a class action lawsuit. I do live in California and I was told that if the case is successful and you live in California, your money will be refunded. I don’t believe you have to “sign up.” As for the rest of the country, they’re still working on the case but haven’t been able to get the case heard in US court. This is in its preliminary stages and I don’t know the details. The attorney said these types of cases can sometimes take years at a time. I hope this helps!

My husband and I also fell prey to this widespread scam. to the tune of $30,000. Until now, we thought there was no hope in recovering our losses. We live in Pennsylvania. Are there any other links to previous lawsuits to which we can refer?

I am so glad to see that everyone is coming together to stop this!! I too was taken by Liberty League. I went to the compliance and filed a complaint against my summit advisor, just to have it discarded. My summit advisor made sure he made his money off of me..but offered nothing…. call the law office handling the class action suit and ask that your name be added to the list..lets all together stop this company from taking other peoples money!!! I almost lost everything, and it ruined my credit, as I have several thousand in credit card debt, that I have defaulted on, and am just now making payments on…All I can say is Thanks Liberty League!!!!

I just wish you all would take personal responsibility for you decisions and actions. Did you bother to read the cancellation notice you had to sign to be a part of LLI or purchase products? Anyone requesting a refund within the agreed upon time frame will be refunded, but 3 months later? You must be kidding! Act you age and take responsibility.

What if you live in Arizona? This is where the two started LLI. I spent alot of money and time helping in the beginning of this MLM. After I was totally taken advantage of, I decided to walk away and take it as a very bad experience. Can we start a class action lawsuit in Arizona? Anyone interested???
