Cant Figure Out If Its A Scam? Try This…
by Rusty on Oct.27, 2008, under Bad Business, Business Tools, Liberty League International, scams
Many of the visitors to this site come here looking for information on Liberty League Internationals home business opportunity as well as some of the opportunities related to it and some not related at all. We do get many emails asking if it is a scam or pyramid scheme and we wanted to provide of questions to easily help you determine if it is a worthwhile and legal opportunity. This list is provided by the government of a state in the U.S. and helps you easily define a group that may be operating a pyramid scam.
* Whether goods or service are being offered for sale, and, if so, whether these goods or services are being sold at an inflated price;
* Whether consumers are induced to make purchases primarily because of the income which they are led to believe they can earn by facilitating similar purchases by other consumers;
* Whether a person receives money primarily from the introduction of other people into the scheme rather than from the sale of goods and services; and
* Whether, overall, the program’s true emphasis is on making money by expanding the pool of participants, rather than on purchasing the goods and services for their own sake.
This is how the government defines pyramid scams and guidelines when deciding whether to prosecute people involved or not. Seems these all fit with the opportunity so often brought up on this site. Investor beware.
Pirates Steal Phelps Spotlight
by Administrator on Oct.23, 2008, under Uncategorized
Great job to the creative group of folks that figured out a great way to handle the crazy nuts at the Westboro Baptist Church. This group gathered near the place of one of the latest Phelps hate rallies dressed in pirate outfits and holdings signs with quotes like “god hates shrimp” and “god hates cotton-polyester blends”. The Fred Phelps group quickly left the scene and gave up on trying to deliver their hate filled message when it became a big fiasco with the news and bystanders focusing all their attention on the pirates. I think we should all be ready for when these crazy people come to our communities and take action like these guys did.

Palin Forcing Religious Views Into Politics
by Rusty on Oct.21, 2008, under Politics
In a recent news article, it is reported that Sarah Palin, the republican vp nominee, supports altering or amending the constitution to ban gay marriage. This should be taken as a caution sign and I will tell you why. It’s pretty clear that Palin is pretty religious. Some say she is Pentecostal, some say non denominational Christian. There is a reason separation of church and state was a founding principal our government and country was founded on.
Our founding fathers had several different beliefs on religions but most all practiced the Christian doctrine for rules on how to conduct themselves. They did however understand the importance of separating the religious beliefs out of the governing body. They came to this country to escape the control and being told how to live and think.
The whole concept that makes the United States what it is revolves around the freedom of choice, and the idea of freedom itself. They recognized that people needed a place where they could believe in what made them happy. They knew it wasn’t their place to enforce their own beliefs onto others, but to give one a choice in what the personally believe.
Today there are politicians that want to enforce their personal beliefs on you and want to make you live the lifestyle they have chosen to live because of their personal religious choices. In the spot light today is Sarah Palin and her stance on adding a new amendment to the constitution to ban gay marriage. She feels it needs to be banded because of the way her religion has interpreted a scripture in the bible. Because of what she thinks, we should all be held to live by the same choices in her opinion.
Besides the fact we have much larger issues to deal with than whether gay people can get married or not, how would she like it if a gay person was elected to an office and wanted legislature saying you had to be gay to get married? Doesn’t seem fair to me. I would hate to be walking down the street with my child and be exposed to PDA from two gay guys, but I really don’t want to see a man and woman all over each other in public either. Sexual preference is personal and should be for one to choose on their own based on what they prefer and kept private and in the bedroom. A gay couple in public is no different than me and my wife in public if they conduct themselves in an appropriate way.
Our founding fathers wanted us to be able to choose, to have our freedom of religion and have a choice. Don’t let religious fanatic politicians take that away from us!
Chance For Change
by Rusty on Oct.16, 2008, under Politics
Change in America is on the horizon and long overdue. The leadership and policies that the American government has run on the past eight years have failed us miserably. We have lost respect in the world amongst other countries. Our credibility now worth about as much as our declining dollar.
Hopefully new leadership will bring more diplomacy when addressing issues with other countries. What makes us think its ok to tell someone they can’t do something that we as a country already do? How would we respond as a country of citizens if we were invaded by an army and being forced to accept what our invaders believe is best for us? I think American history has already shown the outcome of that.
Why is it right that the big corporations, CEO’s, and the very wealthy the ones that get the breaks and are expected to contribute less than those that have little and struggle? Why should an industry that is turning record profits quarter after quarter be given a break on their tax liability. If you are going to leave the tax burden on the one barely getting by, why also put the burden on them of bailing out banks that participated in corrupt lending practices?
I personally have never voted in a general election. That is about to change though. I think it’s important for all Americans who want change to go vote. This election is turning out to be a very close race so voter turnout is extremely important. MoneyXperiment.com supports Barack Obama on his presidential bid. We feel that he brings the greatest possibility of positive change that America so needs to get back on track and continue to be the great country that it is.
