Are Psychics A Scam?

Seems that Google is pretty quick to index my pages and already have visitors landing here on the search terms “Erin Pavlina Scam”.  I’m trying to figure out what about Erin Pavlina could be a scam.

I can see authenticity being in question.  But when I think of scam I think of someone not providing a service or product promised.  Seems to me if you pay the fee to have a reading from her you will actually get a reading.  Is it real or made up is for each individual to decide and believe as they choose.

I must say I am not totally sure that people who say they are psychics are making a genuine claim.  I have a pretty clear understanding that they provide a service that is unusual and could be make believe, maybe not.

What other ways could a psychic like Erin be scamming people?  Having a psychic reading isn’t much different than going to church in my mind.  Are preachers scammers too since the information they are giving you takes an element of faith to be able to claim it as real?

I was watching some today and thinking that maybe they use the intenet and their cult to ensure they have the details. Or maybe it just is a real ability. Something which I’m not sure of.
