Warning!
Looks like the folks still pushing the Polaris Media Group “thing” have got another marketing campaign heating up. Traffic for people looking for post about these people is off the chart again. I have pretty much stopped following the news on these people since they were officially labeled a pyramid scheme under the Liberty League International name.
Whether it is Liberty League or Polaris Media, should be a no brainer when you do your research. All of these stories and warnings are out there for a reason. No they are not pissed off failed members like many want you to believe. Read the warnings and do some thourogh research as to make sure you are doing what you need to do to protect your money. Goodnight all!

Rusty,
The Internet is a wonderful place where people can get all kinds of information.
At the same time, I think it was Perry Marshall who said that “the #1 skill you can cultivate in today’s society is DISCERNMENT”. Simply put, as good as the Internet is for finding information, the truth is that ignorant people and intelligent people have the potential for equal airtime…and equal time in the spotlight. The obvious problem is that there are a lot more people out there with low perspectives, an appetite for gossip and no actual facts.
It creates a really tricky situation for people who are legitimately trying to find information about a company and they’re seeing radically different views.
I got started in my own business back in 1996 and — believe it or not — even at that early date of Internet history, there was already a bunch of nonsense and drama going on about the company I’d selected. (The company was run by a former VP of a larger company and — as soon as he launched — the CEO of THAT company had him served with a non-compete violation as he was walking to the podium.)
Needless to say — there’s never any shortage of drama.
Of course, I could have listened to the naysayers. And I could have said, “Oh, no, this is horrible” and chosen not to get started. But, I’d already learned something pretty valuable about people by that time: most of them are more interested in TALKING about money than actually MAKING money.
So, I got started in that company back in 1996….and wound up making quite a lot of money as a result. Listening to the whiners, complainers and “experienced” people who’d quit would have cost me thousands of dollars.
Fast-forward to 2009. What’s the solution for someone who’s looking at a network marketing company today (not just Polaris Media Group)? Should they actually rely on the anonymous blogs online as “real data”? Should they assume that every person that claims a bad experience is actually telling the truth? Is it really intelligent to assume that that “Google” is a synonym for “research”?
Not really. The smartest thing anyone can do is to take a look for themselves and see what they think on their own. After all, each of us has a mechanism in our minds that allows us to know when something is authentic or real. And if someone will actually quiet their mind and listen to their thinking…..it’s pretty hard to get fooled by anything. Your gut instinct is some of the best due diligence you can do.
Forget what I say. Forget what a critic says. Look with your own two eyes and see if it’s something that makes sense to you. Does it look like something you want to be involved in? Are the people involved the kind of people you’d like to work with? Does the business look like something you can do?
THIS is the way to select a company. But this is NOT what the critics want people to do. The critics want to be believed blindly. They want an audience. They love to stir up controversy. After all, this produces better ratings on TV, more clicks on blogs and more “web presence”.
But, at the end of the day, all current distributors will tell you it’s great (I’m no different)…..and everyone else usually has an agenda for why they want you to buy into their criticisms (and this site is no different.)
It’s not hard to pick an opportunity that’s right for you. But it starts with knowing what YOU want….and then having the personal certainty to actually know what you’re looking at when you see it…..and then making a decision based on what you think is right for you.
Maybe Polaris Media Group isn’t for you. Maybe it is.
I can’t say. And neither can Rusty.
Know For Yourself.
Tony Rush
Executive Marketing Council,
Polaris Media Group
Tony, seriously… You are telling people not to listen to outlets in the world when doing research on a company, and that they should evaluate for themselves the information and the company. In the case of Liberty League that would mean taking in all the crap that advisors shoveled on people about how AWESOME it was and the lame cookie cutter websites that featured all the same stuff, regardless of who it was for.
If people are supposed to listen to the biased pitch from someone involved with the company, why should they not also hear the opinions of people who have tried the company and thought it was not a good deal?
They have as much right to tell their story.
It’s not fair for you to ask your potential customers and business partners to not investigate something and to just look at the surface of your company and advisors and take a leap. They deserve to know all the pros and cons from all aspects and different sources. If you have a good thing, the positive will out weight the bad and you shouldn’t have any problem.
I would also have to mention that most of the negative information out there is from people who are still involved with those business opportunities. What does that say about something when the people involved aren’t even behind it, except for the people at the top of course?
Follow your own advice and let people get their own information. People can get it from all sources and put together what is the best choice. Posting propaganda embedded in what is supposed to be a neutral, yet blog writer slamming post hardly has credibility. It’s good to see you back though; it’s been a while.
Also, as someone that completely removed all related content on this subject once it was declared a pyramid scheme, I would love to know what you think my agenda is? I have nothing to gain and I am not in network marketing looking to promote an alternative. The traffic is already here so I am not looking for website hits. I can’t think of anything else I could gain. If I had an agenda I think I would plug back in the old data bases of the old content and continue to put up the new stuff that is sent to me daily. But I take a very light approach and try only to keep it in peoples mind that their is a need to do thourogh reseach on and be critical of any possible business investment, especially if it requires large investments.
@Tony Rush
Seriously Tony,
your group is very good at blind siding even those with above average intelligence as happened with a family member.
No amount of explanation to this person could convince them that all you were offering is a pyramid business scheme, which incidently is an illegal form of business here in Australia, as you are well aware.
The family member was saved as they had recently graduated from university, with no financial track record, hence they could not borrow the necessary $30k to join up to what ever level that would have achieved.
A tip – you seem to be an intelligent individual, why not apply your skills in a productive and humanitarian way instead of promoting a business that resembles bottled hot air.
Polaris Media Group=Liberty League International WHY? The Department of Fair Trading in Australia exposed the manipulative scavengers for what they were – thieves!
I am so proud of all the people, including myself, that would not give up and continued reporting these parasites to the relevant authorities.
Same shit different smell people be extremely cautious.
The scary thing is that the problem with Liberty League or any other company is the leaders within that company. Since all of the leaders are going to a company called Lifepath, what does that say about that company? I really can’t tell much diffrence between the two: overpriced products, no real value ” compared to say Tony Robbins” and now the leaders that were the problem at Liberty League are now at Lifepath, I would stay very far away from all of these personal development “opportunities”.
As Tony said very clearly and to those who chose not to listen….do not listen to uneducated nay sayers or even highly successful entrepreneurs. Be accountable and make up your own mind and keep your biased or unbiased opinions to your self. These soapbox things are just chinese whispers on the net…such a waste of time…. I too am lucky I didn’t listen to any of these strange negative people and now have the fabulous life I dreamed about….forever. The system works and works very very well…its the people who don’t understand it, who blame it…. wake up to yourselves.
Polaris doesn’t suit everyone….just the intelligent ones
@ Colin
