LLI to Polaris=the north star=Northstar+UWS

January 6th, 2010 Rusty 2 comments

Many may wonder with the lackluster performance of Polaris Media Group, where have all the high profile advisors gone that all once spoke of this being the opportunity of a lifetime and being so firmly behind it?

If you were familiar at all with Liberty League International then you know all about the meaningless propaganda spewed out to get others to jump on board with you.  It’s no surprise that in time all the negative effects of these worthless and fake testimonials would lose their value.

U.S. based Liberty League International decided to go “International” in Australia and the storm of controversy and joining together of the people scammed out of large sums of money, quickly brought down the rapid take off they seemed to at first enjoy.  Eventually being declared a illegal pyramid scheme they had no choice but to quickly rebrand.

Although rumored to be something longtime coming, that timing and hastiness of the product release showed otherwise.  Registration dates of copyrights and other materials only supported it more.  At any rate, longtime coming or desperate attempt to save the Liberty League people, it seemed to fail terribly.  I predicted it coming, and predicted it failing. When you have all the same high profile people tied to an illegal pyramid scheme, and then tied to a new opportunity that is basically the same thing, it’s bound to meet failure.

Then there is the scientology thing, a Pandora’s box I’m not even gonna open.

It seemed pretty quick that Polaris wasn’t gonna produce the same results Liberty League did when it took Australia by storm.  So it was no surprise either to see people start jumping ship.  Many have left, for all different stated reasons.  Most, if not all, have rejoined some other opportunity, many very similar to what they left.

So what are they doing now?  Many seem to be laying low and not putting themselves all out there, seems obvious why that might be.  One thing I have come across lately is a thing called Northstar Global Marketing.  Northstar…aka  Polaris…  Yeah, so anyway, Northstar Global Marketing.  For $47 bucks a month they will send you the “Entrepreneur Newsletter”.  Guess who is behind this one… Tony Rush, John and Shannon Lavenia, and Gene Braxton and a mention of Unified Wealth Solutions.  Those are familiar names huh.

Being linked now back to the people that were involved with Liberty League doesn’t surprise me they would call it the “underground” newsletter.

Don’t get me wrong though, Tony and friends know there stuff when it comes to marketing.  No matter what LLI was at its core, it was made successful by those that hung it all out there and marketed it, and all those scummy advisors that lied, cheated, brainwashed and stole from people to get them to join up with big promises of endless income.  But it couldnt have been done without high profile marketing players acting as anchors for the business to tie itself too.

I don’t subscribe to the newsletter so I can’t speak of its contents or value being worth $47 a month.  I wonder if it is a newsletter full of bogus business opportunities like the old LLI or the new and unimproved Polaris and such.  The only thing that would make it of value to me is if it were truly about marketing a business, as I know this is something they can do.  As far as finding your legitimate business opportunity that will last long term and produce constant and stable income, and not require you to constantly jump from business to business to business, I am not convinced this is something they can help you with.

Anybody trying this newsletter?  Reviews and comments welcome…

OnStar 877-503-0574… The Calls Continue

December 16th, 2009 Rusty 2 comments

Some regulars around here may have seen a few weeks back my post about the annoying OnStar people calling me daily multiple times.  Well almost as quickly as I posted it, there was a comment response from an OnStar customer service manager asking for me to call so we could resolve it.

I was impressed initially by the rapid response and willingness it seemed to take care of the issue.  I was in the process of calling when I had a second thought and hung up.  I didn’t want it to be a case of the “squeaky wheel getting the grease” you know.  I thought that I had misconceptions and acted a bit quickly in my post and I removed it.  Later that day when OnStar once again called, I told them I did not want the service…again, don’t call again…again.

Since that time, OnStar has called me nearly every day and continues to do so.  My view has become this; I didn’t write the original post with the expectations of a manager reading it and wanting to talk to me personally to resolve MY issue.  It is a call out to OnStar to review their policies regarding the continued harassment of people when they are told they do not want their service.  If they changed the way they did business, then mine and all the other countless complaints on the internet would be resolved.

This is one problem that doesn’t need to be fixed on a case by case basis when someone screams loud enough to be heard.  A general revamping of your telemarketing strategies could end the string of customer complaints.  Some things to take notice to, when people say “no thanks”, listen.  When people hang up on you, take the implied “no thanks” and move on.

What’s Up With IzeaRanks?

December 8th, 2009 Rusty No comments

What is up with Izea Ranks?  I have noticed for a short time now that my sites Izea Real Rank has been steadily climbing, the higher the number the lower the rank, even as traffic continues to increase on the site.

I logged in and checked my account on Izearanks and the traffic stats it displayed are not even close to what Google analytics and statcounter show.  I have noticed I am not alone and other bloggers are talking of this phenomenon too.

It doesn’t appear the Izearanks has been able to give any good advice or possible solution to what the problem may be.  That leaves me with one good option, remove Izearanks code from pages and stop participating in their program.

Sure that means I won’t be able to take paid blogging opportunities but that is not something I have ever done much of as the few times I did do it, it just made me feel kind of cheap sometimes.  I do like socialspark for the blogger community it provides even if you dont take paid opportunities.

I have still liked being plugged into the Izearanks ranking system just because it was one more indicator on how things were going with my blog, but I will learn to do without.

Polaris Media Group Members Leaving?

December 1st, 2009 Rusty 6 comments

The web is abound with information about Liberty League International, now doing business as Polaris Media Group, as well as the many higher profile people involved with it.  Many people joined but anybody that has much knowledge on them could tell you that there were less than ten big players within the group.

A comment came today that had me revisiting Ozsoapbox.com once again.  It was stated that Tony along with some other had left the hyped Polaris Media Group.  I unfortunately couldn’t find any evidence of that on the site but did go beyond that to just some more reading all across the web.

Tony Rush as most know, is or was one of the high profile figures of LLI and Polaris.  Having visited this site and commenting several times, something I haven’t seen him do on many other places that focused on the bad of these business opportunities.  Usually it seemed he stuck to the member forums and places that promoted this business.

I do have a particular interest in Tony’s status with Polaris Media Group.  We have had somewhat limited dialogue on several exchanges and his direction with these companies and if he has left, would be important to know.  With the history of comments and things said by him, it would be considered unusual that he suddenly would leave, it would be like me suddenly joining Polaris.  Everyone would be like “WTF?”

Many people are talking and posting things, nothing would be better than hearing it from Tony directly what’s going on right?

Warning!

Looks like the folks still pushing the Polaris Media Group “thing” have got another marketing campaign heating up.  Traffic for people looking for post about these people is off the chart again.  I have pretty much stopped following the news on these people since they were officially labeled a pyramid scheme under the Liberty League International name.

Whether it is Liberty League or Polaris Media, should be a no brainer when you do your research.  All of these stories and warnings are out there for a reason.  No they are not pissed off failed members like many want you to believe.  Read the warnings and do some thourogh research as to make sure you are doing what you need to do to protect your money.  Goodnight all!

America The Beautiful

Chicago

From The Navy Pier

Well after what was supposed to be a short move, and later turned into a 2,500 mile round trip across a big portion of this great country, I am back.  Along the way I made a visit to some of Americas great cities and saw some sites.

We checked out the Navy Pier in Chicago.  It was a chilly windy day but Chicago provided a great cityscape and Lake Michigan was awesome!

The weather was a bit nicer for Saint Louis.  I had been to Saint Louis a few times but never taken the time to see downtown.  A ride to the top of the Gateway Arch provided an amazing view of the city and the Mississippi River.  We also took the time to check out Union Station, as we had recently been to Union Station in Kansas City and were amazed by that one.

Now it’s time for me to catch up on my reading for school.  Doing assignments has been a bit tough not having read the material that goes along with it.
